Exchange your ₹2000 note till October 7: RBI extends deadline

RBI has extended the deadline for exchanging ₹2000 banknotes until October 7
This decision follows the RBI's earlier announcement in which it declared the withdrawal of ₹2000 denomination banknotes from circulation
The initial deadline for exchanging these banknotes was set for September 30, 2023

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made an announcement regarding the extension of the deadline for the exchange of ₹2000 banknotes, granting individuals additional time until October 7 to complete the exchange process. This development comes after the RBI had initially declared the withdrawal of ₹2000 denomination banknotes from circulation on May 19.

In accordance with the initial announcement, the RBI had set September 30, 2023, as the deadline for individuals to exchange their ₹2000 banknotes at their respective banks.
